Rebuild search index

The elements from the FirstSpirit stores (e.g. pages, sections, media files) are written to or removed from the search index during creation, editing or deletion. This action is used to rebuild the search index. Such a reindexing process creates higher CPU and memory loads, and should only be carried out during a maintenance period.
After performing this action, the message “Schedule entry completed successfully.” appears.

The re-indexing of multiple projects is processed sequentially.

For more information, see SearchManager.

Note: Besides the option to create the complete search index for a project anew, the search index can be updated also only for single sub-segments of a project. The relevant methods are made available in the FirstSpirit Access API and can be executed by means of a script (starting point FirstSpirit Access API: interface ProjectStorage (package: firstspirit.access.admin)).
