Preview: Different time perspectives
The content of the current page can be displayed for different points in time. A time bar is available for selecting the point in time.
Either the future is displayed:

To switch to the view of the past, click on the double arrow on the left end of the time bar.
To switch to the view of the future, click on the double arrow on the right end of the time bar.
The point in time currently selected is displayed on the left-hand side of the timeline.
This icon identifies the current point in time. To the left of the icon are points in time in the past; to the right are points in time in the future.
Click to jump here directly from another point in time.
Move the ruler to select the required point in time.
Click the ruler with the mouse pointer and move it to the right or left until the desired position is reached.
Initially, the ruler is set to the current point in time.
The past shows the development of the page over a 12-hour interval as a default when the ruler is moved (12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. each day).
The future shows the development of the page depending on the points in time which are available on the time bar when the mouse is moved.
Additionally, special events such as releases or validity periods are displayed. To view more details, the point in time can be selected using the clock or calendar icon (see below).
This icon displays the point in time in the past at which the page was last modified.
The future allows different points in the future to be read at this icon as long as they are available.
By default, if a validity period has been defined for sections (a project extension in ContentCreator is required for this), the relevant (start and, if applicable, end) points in time are displayed.
The past uses this icon by default to identify points in time of release. Click the icon to go directly to them.
If there is more than one release at a point in time, a list is displayed from which the user can make a selection.
Clicking the icon jumps directly to these points in time.
These icons are used to jump from one point in time identified by to the previous or next point in time.

The calendar icon is used to refine the selection of points in time (date and time of day) as well as to select points in time which are outside the timeline.
