(FS_MARKDOWN)

Formatted texts are input in FragmentCreator via the FS_MARKDOWN input component.

The component is not a standard FirstSpirit input component and therefore has to be installed separately via a module (.fsm) if required. Installation using the ServerManager is described here.

Currently, two editors can be selected on which FS_MARKDOWN is to be based. See page Module FragmentCreator, parameter cxt.fragmentcreator.markdown-editor-type in the file web.xml.

Installing the module

The module is installed using the FirstSpirit ServerManager, in the “Server properties / Modules” dialog using the “Install” button:

Use in projects

Following successful installation, the input component can be used in all fragment projects on this server. To do this, the input component must be added to the page template in the form area.

In order to be able to use the input component in ContentCreator, the “FS_MARKDOWN for ContentCreator” web component must bei added to the relevant project in the “ContentCreator” area (“FirstSpirit ServerManager / Project properties / Web- components”):

FS_MARKDOWN restrictions

Restrictions when using the FS_MARKDOWN input component:

• Not released for SiteArchitect:
  The input component is not (yet) released for use in SiteArchitect.
• No project-specific formatting: The input component does not support any project-specific formatting from FirstSpirit format templates.
