Starting applications

In the central area of the page are entries for starting the FirstSpirit applications. By default, these are as follows:

Primary applications (upper row):

  • ContentCreator (Editing environment): Click this entry to start the FirstSpirit ContentCreator editing system via a browser. The ContentCreator's range of functions has been designed to cover editorial work in FirstSpirit projects.
  • SiteArchitect (Project development): Clicking this entry starts FirstSpirit SiteArchitect. A project selection dialog appears so that the user can select the required project for editing. The project then opens in SiteArchitect. The server connection is established automatically.

Secondary applications (lower row):

  • ServerMonitoring (System information): Click this entry to open FirstSpirit ServerMonitoring, which helps monitoring the FirstSpirit server. A detailed description of this is given under FirstSpirit ServerMonitoring.
  • ServerManager (Administrative settings): Click this entry to open the ServerManager, which supports the configuration of FirstSpirit server and projects. Support is provided for both general administrative tasks carried out by a server administrator, as well as project-related administrative settings made by a project administrator. A detailed description of this is given in Chapter FirstSpirit ServerManager.
  • Help: Clicking on this entry opens the FirstSpirit Online Documentation.

The display / availability of the applications can be adjusted:

Important ServerManager and ServerMonitoring can only be started by server and project administrators. Depending on the individual project configuration, the use of the ContentCreator can be deactivated.
