Provisioning
Downloading the installation and update files
Install archive
The installation archive can be downloaded (if you need login data please contact the FirstSpirit Technical Support).
A version number is specified in the file name of the installation archive, for example:
fs-install-1.0.0.tar.gz
This version number is identical to the version number of the FirstSpirit backend which, among other components, includes the Java Service Wrapper (see below). (This version number has no relation to the version number of the FirstSpirit server.)
In the following, the placeholder [version] will be used for the version of the installation archive used. This must be replaced with the version of the installation archive used for the respective installation.
fs-install-[version].tar.gz
Update archive
The update archive can be downloaded (if you need login data please contact the FirstSpirit Technical Support).
A version number is specified in the file name of the update archive, for example:
fs-update-1.0.0.tar.gz
This version number is identical to the version number of the FirstSpirit backend which, among other components, includes the Java Service Wrapper (see below). (This version number has no relation to the version number of the FirstSpirit server.)
In the following, the placeholder [version] will be used for the FirstSpirit server version of the update archive used. This must be replaced with the version of the update archive used for the respective update.
fs-update-[version].tar.gz
Java and Java Service Wrapper
“Java” and the “Java Service Wrapper” are prerequisites for operating a FirstSpirit server. The “Java Service Wrapper” related control files are provided by Crownpeak by means of the installation archive and constitute the FirstSpirit server's operations layer.
A Java SE Development Kit (JDK or SDK) is not provided by Crownpeak. For information on supported and recommended JDK versions for FirstSpirit see Technical requirements and recommendations (→Documentation for Administrators).
The GNU Java supplied with some Linux distributions cannot be used for FirstSpirit! |
fs-isolated-server-[version].jar
Updates within a minor version can also be executed by replacing the file fs-isolated-server-[version].jar (see Updating via the file fs-isolated-server-[version].jar).
The current version of this file can be requested as a download via Technical Support.
Downloading the license file
The license file fs-license.conf can be requested via the Technical Support.
If no license is installed:
- it is possible to use FirstSpirit for 30 minutes after each start.
- a message is sent to all logged in FirstSpirit users before the server is shut down.
Demo and Blueprint-Projects
The CXT Blueprint project
Crownpeak provides the “CXT Blueprint project” with exemplary basic contents and configurations for FragmentCreator (see Fragment project (→Documentation “Content Experience Tools”)).
If required, the projects can be requested via Technical Support.
The FirstSpirit Experience Accelerator (FSXA)
The FirstSpirit Experience Accelerator is a new, important building block in the FirstSpirit ecosystem. It contains reference implementations for important content modules and can be used as a quick entry into a new FirstSpirit project.
The objective of the FirstSpirit Experience Accelerator is a faster product launch in the enterprise and eCommerce environment.
The FirstSpirit Experience Accelerator includes the hybrid project “Smart Living Global”, the headless PWA Smart Living Newsroom and the Smart Dashboard.
The FirstSpirit Experience Accelerator can only be provided in the FirstSpirit cloud. If you are interested, please contact the Crownpeak partner management or Crownpeak sales (for further information see Provisioning of the FSXA).
