Defining resolutions
If more than one resolution for pictures is to be used in a project these additional resolutions can be defined in the project properties in the Resolutions area.
In this area all resolutions defined for this project are specified.
Initially only the resolution "ORIGINAL" is available in a new project. This resolution represents the medium in its original unmodified state in the resolution with which it was inserted into the Media Store (symbolized by the value "0" for both width and height).
The columns Width and Height indicate the width and height of a resolution in pixel. The value "0" indicates that the width or height result from the aspect ratio to the original resolution.
Use the option Keep aspect ration to determine if the aspect ratio of the original picture is to be considered for the respective resolution when it will be displayed on the webpage later on or not. Activate this option to retain the aspect ratio of the original picture.
If this option is deactivated for a resolution the pictures basing on this resolution can be displayed compressed on the webpage in the case where the aspect ratio is not equal to the aspect ratio of the respective resolution. Activate this option to prevent compressed pictures. |
Add a resolution to the project
For adding a new resolution to the project open the context menu with the right mouse button. Select the item New from the list.
A window will open where the configuration for the new resolution can be set.
The new resolution will also appear in the Media Store, in the form of a new line in the "Resolutions" area
Names of deleted resolutions must not be used again. Otherwise media could be used which were calculated on the basis of the deleted resolution. |
