“Outdated” category
Crownpeak regularly updates the Java versions that can be used for starting SiteArchitect and ServerManager with the FirstSpirit Launcher.
Naturally, such updates can also replace or update the recommended Java version.
In very rare cases, it may be necessary to use a previously recommended Java version. In order to enable a return to the previously recommended Java version without downgrading the FirstSpirit Server to an older version, such a Java version is also provided in the “FirstSpirit Launcher JRE” module.
A previously recommended Java version is assigned to the “Outdated” category in the module. This category therefore corresponds to the “FirstSpirit Java Past”.
Assigning the Java version to the “Outdated” category does not affect its stability. However, such a Java version is no longer the recommended version.
A Java version from the “Outdated” category should only be used in exceptional cases since it may be deleted at any time when the module is updated. The recommended Java version must always be used for live systems! |
