“Experimental” category

If it is not (yet) clear whether a Java version will be used in a future FirstSpirit version (“FirstSpirit Java Future”), it is placed in the “Experimental” category.

By using “Experimental” versions, customers and partners can try out new Java versions at an early stage, determine whether they function with their existing IT infrastructure and thus actively participate in the provision of support for a FirstSpirit Java version. “Experimental” versions should always be used on test systems only and potential problems must be reported to Crownpeak as soon as possible.

If the version is expected to be used as a FirstSpirit Java version at a later date, it is changed to the “EAP” category.
