The Update service

Provision of new FirstSpirit versions

The file(s) required for the server update can be downloaded and installed automatically and regularly directly from the Crownpeak update service (web interface) via schedule.

When updating via the update service, various FirstSpirit software versions are available with the different version series as well as release statuses.

The software versions (“builds”) are provided with the “STABLE” release level as standard and can be selected for updating.

“BETA” versions can also be provided upon request. Although versions at this level are subject to active quality assurance measures, they do not undergo the comprehensive release tests of a “STABLE” version.

If the customer would like BETA versions provided in addition to STABLE versions, Technical Support can configure this in the customer profile.

The available builds (e.g., “5.2 R1908-190808 (STABLE)”) are displayed with the following version information:

• major version (e.g., “5”)
• minor version (e.g., “2”)
• release version (e.g., “R1908”)
• build version (e.g., “190808”) , and
• release/stability level (e.g., “STABLE”)
