What is BeanShell?

Beanshell is a free Java source code interpreter based on Java. BeanShell can be used to process normal JAVA commands and expressions, in addition BeanShell has been enhanced to include classic script functions.
Scripting with Beanshell offers several advantages, for example:

  • Using non-standardised variables
  • Full access to FIRSTspirit and Java-API
  • Using standard Java syntax
  • Convenience methods

BeanShell offers almost unlimited flexibility through the link between Java and script language.
