Display languages (editorial language)

The editorial language affects language-dependent labeling, such as labels in the form area (labeling of input windows, tool tips, combo box elements, etc.) or in the tree view.

Any editor in JavaClient can select the desired display language using the “View – Preferred display language” menu.

The editorial languages are defined by the project administrator in the project settings. A configuration dialog can be selected under the “Options” menu item and is used to define which project languages are to be available to the editors as editorial languages:

The template developer defines the content that to be displayed for the individual display languages in the form area of a page or section template. If there is no language information in the template for the preferred display language, the language information is then taken from the master language.
